With a small sum of money from the sale of a second hand bakkie, Peter Hawyes bought his first ever Friction-Fed Gestetner Roneo Machine for the purpose of advertising the current Church Missions. So, in 1983 in truly humble surrounds (a 4m x 2m Store Room), A.O.G. Youth Press was born. With a burning desire to see the Word of God reach people by the printed page things quickly got underway.

Over the next 12 years, with the blessing of God, this Mission grew to become a service to many Churches and Missions, local and abroad. Many businesses and individuals too benefitted greatly from the services that A.O.G. Youth Press provided. This Mission, still running today, contributes tremendously each year to the printing and distributing of Bible Gospels and Christian Tracts in Southern and Central Africa and Abroad.
